I am an illustrator, artist and photographer with a passion for the diversity of nature and our environment and enjoy depicting natural subjects.
I studied Scientific & Natural History Illustration and continued my studies with a master’s degree, specializing my skills as a scientific illustrator and combining them with traditional printmaking techniques such as etchings to communicate the fragility of our biodiversity in a constantly changing world. I completed my artistic knowledge with a solid scientific background in nature conservation by completing an MSc in Biodiversity and Conservation. Finally, I further developed my experience as an artist working for the world-renowned Cornell Lab of Ornithology during an internship where I illustrated birds for their publications and outreach material.
I am currently working on commissions, ranging from information panel design and illustrations to book illustrations and infographic projects.
I n my free time I practice my skills as a nature photographer and enjoy bird watching and bird ringing, these activities help me gathering valuable reference information about the species I'm depicting and their habitat, which is vital for a successful illustration.
I have successfully exhibited and sold artwork at NEWA, the National Exhibition of Wildlife Art, and completed commissions for private clients, nature organizations and town councils. Please don't hesitate to contact me if you would like to discuss a project you have in mind.
